Para Junior Games 25.-26. November 2026 in Lahti, Finland
5.3.2026
Ajankohta 25.11.2026 - 26.11.2026

Para Junior Games is an event for children and young people with disabilities, those who need support in physical activity, and young people who have received organ transplants.
The beloved Para Junior Games, organized for over 40 years in Finland for children and youth under 19 with disabilities or who need support in physical activity, will once again take place at The Sports Institute of Three Campuses in Pajulahti, Lahti on November 25–26, 2026.
Participation in the competitions is free of charge, and you can join even if you are not currently involved in any competitive sport. The event is designed as a low-threshold opportunity to try different sports and activities. Welcome!
Sports at the tryout event
The range of sports at the Para Junior Games is diverse, offering something for everyone regardless of disability or level of functional ability.
The Hippo Para Athletics Competition will be first on Wednesday, November 25. All participants under 19 are welcome. The shuttle relays (running and wheelchair) will take place after the opening ceremony during the Hippo Para athletics events. On Wednesday morning there will also be an opportunity to participate in a blind table tennis tournament for visually impaired participants.
On Wednesday afternoon, the program continues with boccia, orienteering, and goalball. And of course, the competition disco on Wednesday evening should not be missed.
On Thursday, November 26, the morning program features a floorball tournament, and after lunch the event culminates with swimming competitions and relay races.
You can participate even if you have never tried the sport before. More sports will be announced soon!
Everyone is a winner!
Every participant receives a medal and a result card, where they can record their performances and try to improve them during the event. The result card remains as a keepsake, making it easy to return next year and beat your own records. Results or name lists will not be published.
Team sports
In team sports, the three best teams will receive trophies, and all participants will also receive a medal. The OP Best Support Award trophy will, as tradition, be given to the most enthusiastic supporters.
With this award system, we lower the threshold to participate—even when the sport is new. At the same time, we respect each athlete’s genuine competitive experience at the venue. If a spark for more goal-oriented sport is ignited, Para Junior Games is a perfect first step.
